Description

Colour Clash is a two-player arcade game that emphasizes quick thinking, precision, and reaction speed. At the heart of the gameplay is a central vertical LED panel that flashes one of three colours—red, green, or blue—at random. Each player is equipped with a set of three buttons that correspond to these colours. When a colour is displayed, both players must quickly press the button that matches it. The first correct response is accepted, and if both players respond correctly, the slower player loses one heart.

If a player presses the wrong button, they lose a heart instantly, and the opponent wins the round. Each player begins with five hearts, and the game proceeds until one player loses all of theirs. The game logic is managed entirely through digital hardware, using registers and counters to track inputs and game state, with LEDs providing real-time feedback on player lives and the colour prompt.

The overall design encourages strategic timing and reflex-based decision-making, resulting in intense, quickfire matches that are both engaging and competitive.
