The primary goal is to streamline the travel planning process, specifically catering to groups that engage in casual travelling. Through investigation and systematic development, we aimed to create a solution that simplifies the planning experience while improving the overall efficacy and usability of the plan, during journey.
Time Travel enables travellers to seamlessly coordinate and organise their trips with ease. Through intuitive features, like our suggested, voting and concrete event categories and user-friendly interface, like the calendar view / itinerary, Time Travel empowers users to efficiently manage itinerary details, share recommendations, and make collaborative decisions in real-time.
Users will have an account in TimeTravel, for which they will have a unique username. With this, and their password, they will gain access to the app. The app gives users the ability to create or join travel plans. Each travel plan consists of 3 classifications of events, concrete, suggested and voting events. Concrete events are Considered as fixed and decided events that the group will participate in. Suggested events’ purpose is to bring up discussion in groups. Their timing can overlap, as none of these events are decided. Suggested events can be pushed to become voting events. Voting events bring up a poll where travellers in the same travel plan can vote on the event and if a majority is reached, it becomes a concrete event, replacing the current concrete events that share that time slot. When the trip is under way, the calendar view provides an even more intuitive way to view all the concrete events, which has now become their itinerary, of the group.
