Description
Circuit Breaker is a single-player, interactive bomb-defusal game that challenges players cognitive abilities through a series of rounds and memory sequencing challenges. Inspired by traditional bomb-defusal games, Circuit Breaker replicates the physical interface where players must disconnect colour-coded wires from sockets to simulate wire-cutting procedures, creating an immersive experience for players.
The gameplay progresses through three increasingly complex phases. In the first phase, players will observe a coloured LED prompt, then remove the corresponding wire, until all five wires have been disconnected. The second phase introduces a memory sequence challenge, by requiring players to recall and disconnect a five-wire sequence as displayed by the LEDs. The final phase increases the difficulty with rapid-fire sequences and a shorter time limit, testing both memory and reaction speed of the players. Between the phases, players must reconstruct the original wire configuration to advance to the next phase.
The game features LED indicators and seven-segment displays for visual feedback, and auditory cues via a buzzer system, closely replicating a realistic dynamite defusing scenario. Circuit Breaker delivers a high-stakes and high intensity experience to players. The failure condition is simple and devastating β disconnect the wrong wire or let the timer run out and itβs game over!
