Description
Built using an FPGA board and programmed in Lucid, the game uses a finite state machine (FSM) to manage its logic and flow.
The game features an RGB LED that flashes one of three colors—Red, Green, Blue or Yellow—at random. The player must press the corresponding button that matches the displayed color. Each correct input increases the score, which is shown in real time on dual-digit 7-segment display. The game runs on a 30-second timer, and the challenge is to achieve the highest score possible before time runs out. An incorrect input immediately ends the round, adding to the intensity.
The high score is stored and persists between rounds, encouraging players to improve their reaction time and beat their personal best, translating that quick-response mechanic into a compact and engaging hardware-based experience!
