Description

Our group aims to reduce parcel theft at the SUTD parcel collection point by enhancing the existing deterrence measures. Although a surveillance camera is currently installed, thefts continue to occur—suggesting that passive monitoring is insufficient.

We propose an app that increases the perceived risk of stealing parcels by leveraging AI to actively monitor parcel status at the collection point. If a parcel becomes untraceable or disappears unexpectedly, the app sends real-time push notifications to alert relevant parties, enabling faster response times.

By making it riskier for thieves—who may now trigger a hidden alert system and be caught in the act—our solution discourages theft and promotes safer, more secure parcel handling at the collection point.
