Description
Nomly is a Java-based mobile application designed to solve a common dilemma: choosing a restaurant as a group. Built with Spring Boot, JPA, and MySQL, Nomly features a structured backend and leverages Google Cloud Platform to integrate real-time restaurant data via the Google Places API.
At its core is a swipe-based interface, enabling users to vote on restaurant options at their own pace. Nomly aggregates these preferences and provides a data-driven recommendation for the group—turning hours of indecision into a quick, enjoyable process.
Key features include:
- Allergy-aware user profiles
- Friend group creation
- Session-based voting
- Discovery of lesser-known local restaurants
Nomly emphasizes responsiveness, inclusion, and simplification. Every feature is crafted to enhance usability and reduce decision fatigue. Choosing a place to eat should be part of the fun—not a source of stress.
With Nomly, the path to the table becomes part of the joy.
